Composition

Cubes are manufactured in a variety of wood species to meet each project specification. i.e. White Oak, Western Hemlock, Walnut.

MDF core with wood veneer offers a consistent appearance with added stability.

Mounting Method

  • Cubes can be mounted to a heavy duty T-Bar suspended structure. A slot on top is made to accept the T-bar frame and secured by screws.

  • Cubes can also be secured with eye bolts and wire.

Fire Rating

  • All panel components meet or exceed class “A” requirements as determined by ASTM E-84 tunnel test.

Fire rated coatings can be applied to meet Class A Specs

Acoustics

Wood Cube Ceilings naturally absorb sound, and their acoustic performance can be enhanced when paired with our American-made EcoCore Polyester panels.

Acclimatization

APS's Wood Cubed must be installed in a controlled interior environment with a relative humidity of 25%-55% and a temperature range of 60°F-80°F.

Seismic

Wood Cube Ceilings generally require additional securing for safety when installed overhead. Common methods include safety wire tie-offs or lock-down screws. Please consult local building codes or a licensed engineer for guidance.
